5 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

 

You’ve fallen in love with Luxe Iron Studio/ Arte Fierro's Tables with upholstered chairs and you’re ready to make a purchase. But wait! Have you checked the warranty? A good warranty can mean the difference between buying with confidence… and taking your chances. We’ve come a long way from the old days of “let the buyer beware!” when it comes to buying products in the marketplace. Today, rules and regulations are in place to give consumers fair and reasonable protection for their hard-earned purchases. Plus, top-quality upholstery manufacturers know it’s wise to keep customers happy… long after they’ve left the store and taken their new furniture home. That’s why good products are covered by a good warranty.

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, a warranty is: A (usually) written guarantee of the integrity of a product and of the maker’s responsibility for the repair or replacement of defective parts. But like the furniture they guarantee, not all warranties are created equal. Here’s a quick consumer update on what our warranty means to you:


Why Our Warranty Is So Important

An excellent manufacturer’s warranty is all about peace of mind for you, the customer. It’s a written list of promises that detail a minimum of how long the entire piece – or various parts – will provide satisfactory performance. It also states what the manufacturer will do if the product doesn’t measure up to your expectations. Warranties on home furnishings often indicate the furniture’s quality. Usually, the longer the warranty term, the better made the product. A good warranty can add value to your purchase. So consider the strength of the warranty as well as the price of the piece!

Warranty Rule


Warranties apply only to the original buyer, and to furniture that has received normal use and proper maintenance.

Our manufacturer’s (or factory) warranty is included on all of our home furnishings products you see on our floor and website. Warranty is valid as long as we are in business. We have been in business for over 20 years.     


Our sales professional will brief you on what warranties apply to the product you are buying. If he or she doesn’t bring it up, ask about:


                          The company’s policies for payments, replacements and repairs.

  • What happens if an item arrives damaged? Who pays for shipping and packaging costs? We do! If any of our products arrive damaged, we will arrange pick up and delivery of the same within a timely manner. 
  • Save your receipt and file it with the warranty. You may need it to document the date of your purchase or prove that you’re the original owner as it is a nontransferable warranty.
  • 5 Year Warranty On Arte Fierro Furnishings and Curtain Rods
  • Remember, a warranty is all about relaxation and peace of mind. That’s why it’s best to look for such an excellent  Warranty on critical parts and materials. THIS IS WHAT WE OFFER! 
  • Our 5 year Warranty covers our upholstered furniture covers and fabrics, parts and materials on both of our metal and wood frames.
  • Note: Fabrics styles and patterns may be discontinued by the fabric manufacturer/distributor. If this is the case with the fabric that you chose for your furniture, we will replace / re-upholster with another fabric of your choosing of equal value. 

                   FABRICS:

  • All of our products are designed for a specific end use and are engineered to perform satisfactorily under reasonable commercial / residential conditions. We guarantee each upholstered furnishing to be of first quality and produced to industry standards. This warranty covers normal wear and tear from the date of invoice to the original purchaser when used for appropriate applications in a single shift environment for a LIFE TIME. All materials must be properly installed and maintained. Warranty does not apply to upholstered cushions that are for outdoor use but there is an extended warranty that can be purchased for outdoor use fabrics. 


  • This warranty does not cover damage, disintegration or loss arising from abuse, misuse, vandalism, burns, cuts, punctures, *dye transfer, improper installation, the use of improper cleaning agents or methods, lack of cleaning, application of a post treatment (after shipment by Arte Fierro), abrasion from other furniture components, any use other than intended, or use subsequent to ownership by the original seating purchaser.  Colorfastness performance applies only when material is used as specified. Outdoor use of an indoor product voids the warranty.  If a seating fabric fails to perform as warranted herein, Arte Fierro will replace / provide a credit of the purchase price to be applied to the replacement of the fabric with a mutually agreed upon replacement of the same value.  This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the fabric.  Except as expressly provided herein, Luxe Iron Studio/ Arte Fierro makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, including, without limitation, any warranty or merchantability or fitness of its products for any particular purpose, and hereby disclaims the same.  
  •   Leather: Only use the recommended cleaning solution provided by the manufacturer.  

…And What’s Not Usually Covered Some performance aspects are simply out of any manufacturer’s control. So while a warranty for upholstered furnishings will cover problems under “normal household use”, it also may include specific limitations. Certain warranties may not apply to:

  • Defects that result from negligence, misuse, or accidents.
  • Any condition resulting from incorrect or inadequate maintenance, cleaning or care, or commercial use.
  • Any condition resulting from other than ordinary residential wear or from any use for which the product was not designed.
  • The matching of color, grain, or texture of wood, leather or fabrics as you are the one choosing the fabric design for your furnishings. 
  • In some cases, applying a fabric protectant to your upholstered furniture could void your manufacturer's warranty. Ask before you have a stain guard applied.  


  • Warranty of Natural Stone Tops:  Natural stone including but not limited to granite, marble, onyx, travertine, quartzite (hereafter referred to as “stone”) products come with a one (1) year installation labor warranty only.  No warranty of any kind covering any natural stone material is implied or expressed.   Solid stone surface: Clean with a damp cotton cloth.  


  • Remember: A warranty will be effective only if the consumer who originally purchases this furniture retains the original sales receipt showing purchase date and terms of sale.
  • Our Warranty is designed to protect your investment… And your peace of mind! Keep in mind that the confidence a manufacturer puts into their warranty is a great indicator of how good the furniture (or any product) really is:


  • Ask us for performance-related questions before you buy.
  • Read the fine print on the warranty.
  • If required, send in your warranty card or register online.
  • Save your sales receipt.
  • Perform required maintenance and care.
  • Use the furniture according to the manufacturer’s instructions.


  • Metal Furnishings are defined as beds, coffee tables, end tables, chairs, dining room tables, benches and curtain rods, rings, finials, tie backs and rings. OUR METAL / WROUGHT IRON FURNISHINGS are fully covered except under the extreme and negligent conditions stated below.  


  • Wood furnishings is also defined as beds, Coffee Tables, end tables, chairs, dining room tables and benches. 


  • Solid wood products such as butcher block, plank, reclaimed wood, live edge/slabs inherently “move” over time.  This may cause the wood to crack, warp and vary in color and are not considered manufacturing defects and therefore, not covered under the standard Arte Fierro warranty.  As a manufacturer, we do everything possible to prevent the above from happening but we have no control over natural wood products.  For additional information, please contact your local Arte Fierro Representative. Environmental Concerns | Temperature Furniture must be kept in controlled conditions with an optimal office environment temperature ranging from 42 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit with roughly 70 percent relative humidity.


If the product is exposed to extreme changes in temperature the following could/will occur – materials may contract and expand which will cause materials to “move.” This may cause separation of materials, checking (cracking of veneer) and/or de-lamination from the sub-straight. None of the above conditions would be considered manufacturing defects, and therefore, are not covered under Arte Fierro’s warranty.


Environmental Concerns | Light
Furniture should be protected from direct sunlight. Light will increase the discoloration and bleaching on most veneer and hardwood components. When furniture is not in use, it is best to be left in the dark or covered up. Over time, there is a natural aging process of wood, and the finished surface will darken.


Furniture Use and Care
Protect surfaces from liquids and excessive heat. The finish is made to withstand most liquids for short periods of time. Liquids left on surfaces overnight will stain and cause substantial changes to both the veneer and sub-straight that may not be repairable.
The table top wood products are not engineered nor designed to be used as seats or ladders. Standing on tables may cause tipping and/or structural problems that may not be field-repairable.
We use a durable finish process on all our work surfaces, but the end user should always be careful about what is placed on and slid across the top of the furniture. The product will scratch if sharp objects are placed on it. Dents can also be created on the surface if objects are dropped on it.


Cleaning
For the best cleaning results, one should use a damp cotton cloth moved in the direction of the grain. Do not move damp cloth in circles or against the grain – this may cause scratching on the surface. Never use silicone or wax-based products to ‘polish’ the furniture. This will cause a cloudy buildup and take away from the natural sheen and beauty of the wood.
Leather: Only use the recommended cleaning solution provided by the manufacturer.
Solid stone surface: Clean with a damp cotton cloth.
Laminate surface: Dust and clean with a damp cotton cloth.


Normal Use and Protection
The finish provided is very durable; however, wood is imperious to metal, cold, and heat. Please use coasters for all drinking glasses and pot holders for any hot items, such as pizza. The heat may cause a dark ring on the surface, and is difficult to repair once damaged.


Wood Furniture
Solid wood plank – We do not warrant any movement, shifting, or the separation of solid wood plank due to moisture or drying of the wood, as solid wood is a natural material. The expanding/contracting, color alterations over time, small checks/cups/bending of the boards is part of the beauty in using a natural material and should be expected. Though our team goes to great lengths to ensure high quality products, we do not take responsibility for the plank material.
Wood owes its inherent beauty to variations in color, grain, and texture – therefore, these variations are not considered defects. There may be minor variations from one piece of furniture to the next, even though they are finished at the same time. All other warranties – expressed or implied – are excluded. Arte Fierro shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages of any sort.


Luxe Iron Studio / Arte Fierro Products Warranty Agreement
All of the above steps are guidelines to protect the longevity of your furniture. If not properly followed, they can lead to major damages to the product which is not covered by Arte Fierro’s warranty program.
Subject to the limitations set forth below, Luxe Iron Studio/Arte Fierro warrants to the original purchaser all products purchased to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a seven (5) year period from date of shipment. This seven (5) year warranty applies to all products sold and installed by a Arte Fierro authorized agent for normal commercial single shift service. 
Luxe Iron Studio/Arte Fierro will repair, or, at its discretion, replace defective merchandise, free of charge. Neither does this warranty apply to damage resulting from accident, alteration or misuse, as well as damage from normal wear and tear such as dents, nicks, scratches, fading and improper maintenance. Arte Fierro’s warranty is only valid if products are given proper use and care. Luxe Iron Studio/Arte Fierro assumes no responsibility for product damages resulting from installation or user modification.


Contact
All warranty claims must be submitted by the original owner to artefierrobydiaz@gmail.com or luxeironstudio@gmail.com. Owner may be required to produce the invoice or other evidence to establish that a claim is within the warranty period. Additionally; Here are some helpful guidelines to help you with your  product and with getting warranty service: Read your product instructions and warranty carefully. Don’t assume warranty coverage that was never promised in writing. Also, a warranty doesn’t mean that you’ll automatically get a refund if the product is defective—the company is entitled to  fix it or replace it.


Warranty on custom finishes is defined as special paints and hand applied finishes such as verdigris, brushed, gunmetal, bronze burnt or burned oil and others listed on our website. In many cases, small scratches or damage to finishes will be repaired at your home.  Extreme negligence apparent with abuse and carelessness will void your furnishings warranty.


 DEFINITION OF EXTREME AND APPARENT ABUSE AND CARELESSNESS: this sounds funny and unbelievable. At Arte Fierro we have seen a thing or two. Tables and chairs, tables curtain rods or any Luxe Iron Studio / Arte fierro's Furnishing thrown across a room and beat up with a hammer and or having anything abnormally placed on it to the point of breaking is extreme and negligent. The ruining of custom hand applied finishes one a bed showing the scraping of handcuffs is negligence and extreme. There is however an additional warranty that can be obtained for an additional cost if this is something that you are interested in. Again, we have seen a thing or two.  Scroll and design work resulting in extreme bends because of climbing may not be covered if considered extreme and negligent. 


Disclaimer, terms and conditions: As stated above, we will pay for shipping and delivery of any items that arrive damaged. It is the client's responsibility to pay for shipping of any product under warranty under the aforementioned conditions. The client can deliver the item/items themselves and in many cases if local, we will pick up within a certain amount of miles from our fabrication shop. WARRANTY IS VALID TO THE PERSON/S WHO PURCHASED THE ITEMS AND THE PERSON/PERSONS MUST BE  THE OWNERS OF SUCH FURNISHINGS. THE CLIENT MUST PRODUCE THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT OBTAINED DURING THE TIME OF PURCHASE IN ORDER TO REDEEM THE LIFE TIME WARRANTY.

The ruining of custom hand applied finishes one a bed showing the scraping of handcuffs is negligence and extreme. There is however an additional warranty that can be obtained for an additional cost if this is something that you are interested in. Again, we have seen a thing or two.  Scroll and design work resulting in extreme bends because of climbing may not be covered if considered extreme and negligent. 


Disclaimer, terms and conditions: As stated above, we will pay for shipping and delivery of any items that arrive damaged. It is the client's responsibility to pay for shipping of any product under warranty under the aforementioned conditions. The client can deliver the item/items themselves and in many cases if local, we will pick up within a certain amount of miles from our fabrication shop. WARRANTY IS VALID TO THE PERSON/S WHO PURCHASED THE ITEMS AND THE PERSON/PERSONS MUST BE  THE OWNERS OF SUCH FURNISHINGS. THE CLIENT MUST PRODUCE THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT OBTAINED DURING THE TIME OF PURCHASE IN ORDER TO REDEEM THE LIFE TIME WARRANTY.
